Talking Therapies

1
Counselling
This form of therapy aims to explore a specific issue that is negatively impacting you such as unhelpful pattern(s) of thinking, relationship issues, or unhelpful behavioural patterns. Often this issue produces internal stress which contributes to mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression, depending on how long this issue has been going on for.
Counselling is an active and dynamic process which requires your commitment to reflecting, self-analysing, problem solving and choice/action taking.
Depending on the issue and individual, between 6 to 16 sessions may be required.
2
Psychotherapy
Deeper issues resulting from abuse, emotional neglect and other forms of trauma require a softer therapeutic approach. This form of therapy takes time and is facilitated by the the safe, caring and supportive therapeutic relationship we establish. Together, we will aim to process and heal repressed or suppressed psychological wounds, as well as rebuild your sense of self-worth and self-trust.
Often physical illness or ailments appear as a result of unprocessed trauma. Our therapy can explore and improve this body-mind connection if desired by you.
Depending on the individual and his/her/their unique process of healing this can take anywhere between 5 months to over 1 year of therapy.

Wellness Sessions
This form of therapy is designed for individuals committed to their own personal development. It aims to develop a practice of compassionate self-analysis, reflection, and meaning making which leads to greater self-awareness and self-confidence.
In this process, I aim to be your companion and guide on your personal journey, providing perspective, options, as well as unconditional acceptance and support.
The frequency and content of these sessions are up to you. So it is possible to meet once a fortnight, once a month or as and when is needed. I will flow with you.
About Introspective Therapy
Introspection is the practice of looking within to explore one's feelings, thoughts, behaviours and relationships non-judgementally for the benefit of gathering information.
Introspective therapy is the practice of objective inner exploration for the benefit of emotional healing and the breaking of old limiting patterns of thinking and behaviour resulting from trauma. It works with the subconscious mind to identify and reframe limiting core beliefs, memories and images that cause emotional distress.
The aim of this therapeutic work is to bring balance, harmony and unity to those parts of self that are in conflict and to enable self-trust in one's intuition and wisdom. This may entering a mild hypnotic state to imagine one's inner child or younger versions of self at different ages, changing one's personal narrative, interacting with parts of one's self, exploring sensations in one's body that arise during sessions, and many other techniques that I may be intuitively led to use on our healing journey. In essence, this work deals with the unseen world of emotions, beliefs and the realm of the human spirit.
